The L-50 Cochliodon Pleco is collected in more remote areas of the lower Amazon basin so it is seldom seen the the aquarium trade. Sometimes called the grey or brown leopard pleco, the Cochliodon has a tannish marbled body with black spots and the body color turns more grey with red hues as the pleco ages. Even though the L50 pleco is a member of the hypostomus family, the fish only grows to seven inches so it is very suitable for most fish tanks.
